Conservatory Living - Customer Feedback and Tips - Clara Shade Sails
Clara Shade Sails are not just for outside use - we have many customers who have also used them in their conservatories or sunrooms to help lower the temperature during the hot summer months. And whilst it's not currently at the front of our minds, the sails also help keep the warmth in during the winter months, making these rooms more useable all year round.
You can find out more information in our conservatory installation blog, which also includes a demonstration video.
But don't just take our word for it, below are some customer pictures and feedback we have received over the last few years.
Square 3m Shade Sail
"Both our sun room and conservatory have glass roofs and overheat. We bought 2 of 3x3m shade sails for the former and 1 of 3x3 m for the latter. It was great to have the video for installing the sails from the company website because most customer pictures are of outside installations. The products arrived very quickly, their quality was excellent and the pricing was reasonable (so reasonable that one did not mind buying a outdoor quality product for indoor use).
The sails have made our sun room live-able in during this warm summer and they look very classy. Absolutely delighted with them."
Rectangle 3m x 4m Shade Sail
"This sail has worked wonders in our sun room, made it bearable in the daytime when sun is very hot, can highly recommend for indoor use."
"Fixed in the conservatory in half an hour, and then sat under it all Monday afternoon! It looks well-made, doesn’t smell odd at all (I wondered whether it would smell plasticky in the sun but it doesn’t), and we are very pleased with it. Much better and simpler than the complicated and expensive roof blinds you see advertised."
Equilateral Triangle 2m Shade Sail
"We have a large lantern roof over a garden room. During sunny weather if can get pretty hot and we needed some shade. I found that 3 of the 2m shades were just right to give an interesting shade effect."
"Bought this to use inside our glass roofed conservatory. Now on sunny days we can actually sit in it without squinting at the sun or having to put a garden parasol up in there like we had to last summer! A great, cheap solution for the summer months."
Square 3.6m Shade Sail
"I was a bit sceptical about how successful this shade would be for my conservatory, especially as it is smaller than the roof space, but I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that it's dropped the temperature a few degrees which makes our conservatory a much more bearable place to sit when it's sunny . I wish that I'd bought one years ago now!"
Square 2m Shade Sail
"This sail is just amazing quality and covers up the roof of my conservatory perfectly....it keeps it cooler and makes the space so much more of a room I can use...very happy customer...thank you....I love my purchase."
"We're more than impressed! The high quality of the stitching and the "D" ring fixings show that this is an extremely well-made, strong, attractive and long-lasting item and which also came in a useful pack-away storage bag.
We had been looking for a non-permanent and cost-effective way of shading our UPVC glass-roofed conservatory during the summer months and selected Clara Shade Sails only after extensive research. Our conservatory's internal dimensions are 3.5m x 3.7m so the new 3m square size is an excellent size for it that will provide the necessary shading when needed and require only minutes to put up or take down."

Finally... this picture is from Clara Team member Claire. If you read our conservatory installation blog you will see that it’s one of the main reasons Claire started this business in the first place. Her conservatory was the first place she put one of the Clara Shade Sails and after 7 years it is still going strong!
If you have used a Clara Shade Sail in your conservatory or sunroom, please send us a picture, and let us know if you have any tips, so we can keep on adding to our blog.
